Fueled by intuition, and an explorative nature, Mark's painting process combines raw technique and non objective imagery, often resembling forms found in urban and rural landscapes.
Utilizing a combination of various materials, the paintings develop as Mark aggressively reworks the images by sanding, scraping , and re-applying paint until the desired composition is achieved.
Family, friendship, hardship, joy, adventure, nature... all the things that make up the substance of life are what drive Mark to create.
"I have wanted be an artist since as long as I can remember. I like to make art, period."
